Everything except planning. Unpacking, setup, delivery, takedown, repacking, and eating the good food.
Studying how streams' courses change over time, in relation to physics, the water, the geographical landscape, people, etc. I used to volunteer at the Saint Louis, MO, USA Science Center working on the stream table, but would like to be able to study how the course changes more, and prove to myself just how meandering rivers form Carlyle Lake near St. Louis. I found that I needed to spend more time showing visitors what I know, and less time learning, which I find more appealing. That wasn't wasn't why I left, however. I left for other reasons. I can still spend hours watching streams endlessly. I also would like to study undercurrents and ripples. If you know where I can learn about these effects, let me know. Thanks.
Ameteur Radio and emergency services. I have recently received an FCC Amateur Radio Technician Class license, and have joined St. Louis County, MO Skywarn/RACES and soon will be applying for Amateur Radio Emergency Services ARES. Communicating without telephone for emergency and friendship (while verifying preparation for emergency) purposes is awesome. The science behind how radios and radio waves and propagation work is also very interesting. I also want to applaud the federal government for allowing me to keep my social security number off my license piece of paper so I can keep it in my wallet. See my pet peeves later.
Removing dams that cost more (when you include environmental effects like water not reaching the ocean any more) than they produce. In line with that, the recent production and sale of products that are small and human powered, especially with how they require less power to run in the first place. See especially Freeplay's products (link taken down until I can determine their correct website.
Aircraft, including unconventional aircraft (especially airplanes with canards and winglets), and flying, and military stuff, especially aircraft.
I have traveled extensively within this country, and to several foreign countries. I ought to list some of my travels here, along with flags.
I also try to listen to shortwave radio to get perspectives from other countries to remind myself that the U.S. is not the only country in the world nor must be present at any meeting around the world.
Pet pieves: Social security numbers in plain text on items to go into one's wallet. With an SSN, birthdate (from Driver's license), name, and address, anyone can steal your identity and ruin your credit and reputation. Until American society decides to force companies, especially credit organizations, to make it easier to get your credit back, I'm not willing to play with danger, and I recommend others don't either.

Charles Jaco said that in the rural areas of Missouri, the 95% of voters who in those areas said marriage should only be between a man and a woman, the vote looked like a North Korean election.
