Some of my writings and frustrations

Awkward

December 13, 2003

You know that time
when you felt awkward?
I feel it all the time.
Especially when I'm around "normal" people.
Belittlement with the laugh due to a horribly bad response just makes the situation worse.
Us laughing at ourselves? Impossible due to awkward situation.

Dreaming

(take-off of "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas")
I'm dreaming
of not merely a *tolerant* society
but one that promotes the best in people
doesn't jockey for position
doesn't war in the court room
Justice, Enough to go around
Brains & Brawn
where health & eco & people
are cared for on top not commerce
best in all minorities & 'disabilities' & sexual preferences
*America dreams*
war to promote invention & *R&D* justice & peace no 80/20 rule
Ecology not just people
87 trillion to soldiers? people want a "better" way
real security - know me or don't know me & way to change my status
Knowledge & EMPOWERMENT *available if wanted* at any time
Is a lawsuit really justice? vengence? "something" done?
Anonymous/info spread/mob rule/new corporation/bad doctors/just help patient
System in disrepair/ability to change the system/bad laws for wrong reason
Rule of [bad laws] control?
Freedom & independence & less bullying govt/history kept/people/corp
Freedom unless you do 'bad'
Freedom from noise, pollution, bullys, to control your own life, to advance, to do what you want without harrassment spam ads why limited tracking versus information when asked or other? society not corporation decides
"The American DREAM"
Pride; feeling important; recognition; the power of corporations; the company versus its people as in unions
ideology & use other people & real security longing, home, vision

Thoughts on genetic engineering ©Todd Greenstein

I realize that it could in the future enhance some people's lives.

Therefore, for them, allow them, after they sign acknowledgement of understanding of laboratory trials, to partake in a laboratory experiment to see if it has any harmfull affects for 5-10 years. Then, if not, trademark the new product as in "Aspartame", and release it, so people know about it and can opt out. In 20 years, it's generic and hopefully downsides are known.

If there is a harmfull side affect, the people in the study would decide if the costs outweigh the benefits.

For the rest of us, we are not impacted.

Not labeling and mass producing means we are all unknowning human ginea pigs with no ability to control our own lives for 20 years.
